Editorial Standards & Fact-Checking Code
Our journalistic charter: independence from commercial advertising, rigorous testing protocols, and public errata corrections.
1. Commercial Separation & Absolute Editorial Independence
VehicleDekhe maintains a strict wall between editorial content and commercial monetization. No car manufacturer, authorized dealership chain, or aftermarket accessory brand has editorial veto power over our vehicle reviews, pros and cons summaries, or variant rankings. We never publish paid "sponsored reviews" disguised as genuine editorial verdicts.
2. Automotive Evaluation & Road Test Protocol
Our vehicle evaluation methodology evaluates vehicles against the practical demands of Indian motorists: (a) Real-World Fuel Consumption: Benchmarked in urban bumper-to-bumper traffic and expressway cruising with full 4-passenger cabin load and air conditioning active; (b) Electric Vehicle (EV) Evaluation: Testing sustained expressway range at 90-100 km/h, thermal management under 42°C+ summer heat, and DC fast-charging curve throttling; (c) Safety Benchmarking: Cross-referencing Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP crash testing results, scrutinizing standard passive safety equipment (such as 6 airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX) versus variant-restricted features.
3. Manufacturer Press Vehicles & Loaner Policy
Automotive journalists routinely evaluate press fleet vehicles provided by manufacturers or test-drive units provided by regional dealerships. VehicleDekhe accepts test-drive vehicles strictly under the condition that editorial freedom is absolute. If a car exhibits poor suspension damping, cabin rattles, or sluggish infotainment, these observations are published without dilution.
4. Multi-Source Fact-Checking & Homologation Audits
Every vehicle in our catalog undergoes multi-point validation before publishing. Technical dimensions, kerb weights, engine displacements, gear ratios, tyre configurations, and certified mileage are cross-referenced directly against official homologation documents, Form 22 compliance sheets, and government transport gazettes.
5. Corrections Policy & Rapid 12-Hour Errata SLA
Accuracy is our highest priority. If a reader, dealership, or manufacturer identifies an outdated price, variant spec change, or typo, our editorial desk immediately audits the claim against official filings. Confirmed errors are corrected on the live site within 12 to 24 hours. Submit correction requests to vehicledekhe@gmail.com with the subject line "Editorial Correction".
6. Responsible AI & Human Editorial Oversight
While modern software assists our technical desk in organizing large datasets, every vehicle verdict, comparative analysis, and price validation on VehicleDekhe is authored, vetted, and approved by human automotive editors. We do not publish automated, unverified content.
